These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Couch in a Box website (couchinaboxus.com) and any purchase you make from us. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Who we are

This site is operated by Couch in a Box ("we", "us", "our"). You can reach us at couchinabox@gmail.com.

2. Products, prices and availability

• All prices are shown in U.S. dollars (USD) and do not include any applicable taxes unless stated at checkout.
• Our sofas are made to order. We keep no warehouse inventory; each unit is produced after you purchase it.
• We do our best to describe products accurately, including colors, materials and dimensions. Screens vary, so slight color differences are possible.
• Prices, promotions and product details may change at any time. Any discount or "compare-at" price reflects a genuine prior or regular price of the item.

3. Orders and cancellations

• Your order is an offer to buy. We confirm it by email once payment is received. We may decline or cancel an order (for example, suspected fraud or an obvious pricing error) and refund you in full.
• Because items are made to order, you may cancel for a full refund within 24 hours of purchase, before production begins. After that, our 30-night trial applies (see Returns).

4. Payment

• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
• Depending on eligibility, buy-now-pay-later options (such as Klarna or Affirm) may be offered at checkout by their respective providers, subject to their terms.

5. Shipping and delivery

• Shipping within the United States is free.
• Because each sofa is made to order, estimated delivery is 25–35 days from purchase. We email tracking once your order ships with a trusted carrier (such as UPS or FedEx).
• Delivery estimates are not guarantees; carrier delays outside our control may occur. Title and risk of loss pass to you on delivery.

6. 30-night trial and returns

We offer a 30-night trial and a return process. Full details are on our Returns & Warranty page, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Warranty

Our products carry a 1-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. See the Returns & Warranty page for what is and isn't covered.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this site — including the Couch in a Box name, logo, text, images and design — is owned by us or our licensors and may not be copied or used without permission.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The site and products are provided "as is" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or products. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law that cannot be waived.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Couch in a Box is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
